SWU Alumna Robyn Crawford Named District 51 Teacher of the Year

Southern Wesleyan University is proud to celebrate Robyn Crawford, who has been named the 2025–26 Teacher of the Year for Ware Shoals School District 51. A former student in the district herself, Robyn now teaches special education at Ware Shoals Primary School—pouring her heart into the very community that shaped her.

After graduating high school, Robyn earned her bachelor’s degree from Lander University, then chose Southern Wesleyan University to further her calling, completing her master’s degree in education. Her experience at SWU helped deepen her understanding of how to serve students with compassion, purpose, and excellence—values that shine in her

Robyn’s journey—from Ware Shoals student to Teacher of the Year—is a testament to her faith, perseverance, and commitment to making a difference. Her story embodies the heart of SWU’s mission: equipping graduates to lead lives of service, leadership, and influence.
